LSD Interior Design was commissioned by Vanke to design the interior of Project AUTHOR, a residential space that merges ritualistic elegance with contemporary functionality. Guided by a “golden cross axis” spatial strategy, the design blurs traditional boundaries to maximize scale and create layered, interconnected experiences. Rich material contrasts—velvet with ceramic, metal with stone—infuse warmth and texture. Transitional "gray spaces" foster fluidity between public and private zones. Thoughtful reinterpretations of Eastern and Western elements, including minimalist European columns and lacquer-finished chairs, reflect a sophisticated cultural fusion. The result is a refined, tactile environment that balances complexity, intimacy, modern living.
