Celebrated by critics and attracting over 282,000 visitors, In Your Wildest Dreams, Ensor Beyond Impressionism is an immersive journey into the mind of James Ensor. Created by Tinker imagineers and KMSKA, the exhibition blends theatrical scenography with interactive installations, bringing Ensor’s contrasts – light and dark, satire and sincerity – to life. Visitors explore 13 themed rooms, enriched with various integrated AV applications, and encounter a Pepper’s Ghost illusion of Ensor. Sustainability was prioritised by reusing materials. More than a retrospective, this dynamic experience redefined audience engagement, earning international acclaim and ensuring Ensor’s visionary world remains accessible and relevant for future generations.
