Founded in a Boston Back Bay townhouse, healthcare venture capital firm Third Rock Ventures needed more space but feared losing their inspiration “around the fireplace” and the townhouse’s safe, familial, deeply collaborative environment. While contemporary, the new office in the life sciences eco-culture of the Fenway neighborhood is infused with TRV’s Back Bay spirit – pen-and-ink drawings from original construction documents and period millwork on walls, doors, and glass; velvet residential lobby furniture; herringbone floors; and an antique marble fireplace. A Patient Impact Wall celebrating TRV’s impact on patients runs the length of the office.
