Alexander James Interiors were appointed to redesign the public areas of the InterContinental Athénée Palace Hotel Bucharest. The scope of work consisted of technical drawing packages for each area along with full specification of all finishes, soft furnishings and decorative lighting for the public areas, café, restaurant, and spa. The brief was to celebrate the building’s heritage whilst introducing a contemporary elegance. This was done through the use of refined materials, classical gestures, and a warm, cohesive palette, the resulting spaces offer the guest bespoke experience that is both timeless and forward-looking, setting a new benchmark for hospitality in Bucharest.
