All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital has transformed its Bloorview Research Institute (BRI), adding a newly constructed 11,000-square-foot research tower. With its new facilities and cutting-edge capabilities, the BRI is now home to the largest concentration of pediatrics disability research in the world. This critical milestone has led to ground-breaking discoveries that will enhance the quality of life for children and youth with disabilities and developmental differences—about 400,000 in Canada and millions worldwide. Expanding the BRI’s enterprise increases its potential to generate more significant impact and ultimately lead to healthier, more inclusive futures for children and families locally and worldwide.
