Matrix Design was commissioned by China Merchants Shekou Holding Co., Ltd. (Hefei) to design the interior spaces for HEFEI SINCE 1872, a landmark project blending cultural heritage with contemporary elegance. Drawing from Hefei’s historical richness and modern aspirations, the design features custom craftsmanship, sustainable materials, and spatial narratives that transform daily living into artful rituals. From hand-forged bronze details to mosaic flooring inspired by the project’s floral logo, each element conveys refined storytelling and symbolic harmony, positioning the project as a new benchmark for sophisticated urban living in Anhui.
