DCDA was commissioned to design and specify the interior architecture, soft furnishings, and accessories for Family Li Imperial Cuisine in Chongqing. Positioned on the top floor of a landmark skyscraper, the 520 sq. ft restaurant reinterprets Chinese imperial dining through a poetic design narrative titled “A Bronze Poetics in the Clouds.” Inspired by ancient bronze vessels, folding fan motifs, and Song dynasty aesthetics, the project blends craftsmanship and technology, featuring 3D-printed art panels, custom lighting, and etched bronze finishes. The space unfolds like a living scroll—immersive, refined, and rooted in the spirit of Chinese literati tradition.
