Beam & Clay: Luella Pu at Fang Ting Properties – Transforms Stratford Office Conversion into Premium Shared Living

Fang Ting Properties transformed a repossessed office conversion into a premium three-bedroom home for professional sharers within £50,000. The ingenious 90-degree kitchen rotation preserved plumbing. The precise 28% bedroom reduction carved out a third bedroom, celebrating industrial heritage through exposed beams and a strategic F&B paint scheme. The project challenges housing norms by proving shared living needn't compromise on design. Clever space-planning delivered three proper bedrooms (9m²-14.1m²) with workspaces, while 1.1m half-walls zoned areas without sacrificing light. Budget-smart solutions like kitchen carcass reuse and adapted wardrobes achieved 98.3% budget utilisation. A manifesto for design equality in co-living spaces.
