All project descriptions are provided by SBID Awards entrants.
BEHF Architects transformed a 1980s resort into a sustainable retreat. Small units were combined to create flexible layouts for rest, regeneration, and mindful living. Movable partitions, pivot doors, and integrated elements such as a hidden kitchenette and Japanese soaking tub allow for seamless transitions. Only solid wood was used, alongside natural materials like travertine and clay plaster, all regionally sourced for sustainability. Sensory details and subtle lighting enhance the calm, immersive atmosphere. The result is a timeless, sustainable retreat redefining luxury through simplicity and emotional depth.
